Educators and service staff are trained in healthy eating curriculum/education for children, and in implementing healthy eating practices, in the last 5 years
Currently:
- at least 50% of primary contact educators have participated in professional development or training in practices which promote healthy eating for children in the past five years; and
- the service menu planner/cook has completed training in planning, preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks in the past five years.
However:
- less than 50% primary contact educators have participated in professional development or training in healthy eating curriculum/education for children in the past five years.
What can we do to meet this healthy eating practice?
To meet this practice, it is recommended that:
- at least 50% of primary contact educators participate in professional development or training in healthy eating curriculum/education for children every five years.
